My name is Elizabeth Dirks and I bring a fresh and exciting attitude to how yearbooks are done on the central coast. With a degree in Journalism and experience as a dedicated teaching professional, I know what it is like to work hard and have fun.
Prior to joining Lind Long and the Herff Jones team, I began my career in public relations working for a high-tech public relations agency in Silicon Valley. I then became a credentialed teacher at Gilroy High School where I taught for four years.
I taught English, the student newspaper - The Free Press, and the Yearbook. I have had award winning programs for both the yearbook and the newspaper, which won and was nominated for the Pacemaker award. I understand the support and dedication it takes to be a successful sales professional when working as a team with advisers and schools.
My background in all formats of desktop publishing (InDesign, Pagemaker and QuarkXpress) and Photoshop CS is invaluable to all yearbook programs. I will help your school streamline your yearbook program to keep up with the latest technological trends that fit your needs and budget constraints.
