I have been a yearbook adviser for 24 years and a member of the Herff Jones family for that whole time. Yes, I do regard Herff Jones as part of my family. When I began, I knew nothing about yearbooking. Through the five representatives I have had over the years I have learned everything I know. Linda Long has put up with me the most. I've worked with her for approximately 19 wonderful years. Elizabeth Dirks came into the picture a few years ago and has been the outstanding tech lady. Everyone knows how technology has changed the way we work over the past five or six years. Without these two eager ladies, I never would have made it. They have been able to take care of any and all questions or concerns. Their enthusiasm for helping me to learn new things made life a lot easier. They have been there for me at my beck and call. And believe me, there were plenty of them over the years.

As reps they have made life easier for the schools which they represent. They have held a variety of workshops to help advisers annually learn new techniques and technology to help us be on the cutting edge. They have each held summer workshops for students and advisers. They give incentives for students to want to learn. They have a great rapport with the students. I love to watch them work.

In the first few years the Josten's representative tried her hardest to get me to change companies. I just told her that I am happy with Herff Jones and I would never change. I believe that the representatives are the heart of the connection with the company and Herff Jones has excellent ones. She finally gave up knowing I was staying where I was.

I consider Linda and Elizabeth very good friends of mine. We have been to conventions together and visited the Herff Jones plant many times. They are very loyal. That's what you want in a representative/client relationship.

These are two wonderful people whom I will miss terribly when I retire. But, the friendship will remain.
